I am a pain management physiatrist working in the field of interventional spine and pain management. I treat mostly spine and musculoskeletal pain. I have a particular interest in the psychological and behavioral aspects of chronic pain, which are deeply a part of human suffering.
I believe chronic pain is best managed via: interdisciplinary (team approach) and integrative (mind body care) therapies, as well as education, counseling, and long-term follow up.
I deal with some of the most common, disabling conditions of our society, including:
- Acute and Chronic spine pain
- Arthritic joint pain
- Muscle pain
- Neuropathic pain
- Fibromyalgia
With an ever-growing aging population, the painful conditions that afflict the human musculoskeletal system will only become more and more prevalent over time. But this does not mean you are destined to have pain or disability from these conditions. With proper guidance, you may be able to function better and improve your health more than you think. I treat pain in an integrative fashion to help provide patients with the coping skills they need to manage their disabilities and suffering.
I am buprenorphine (Suboxone) waivered since 5-12-2019 and can provide help to long term opioid dependent pain patients who are showing functional decline.
